Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer located at Camp Smith in Hawaii to support USPACOM J637 Joint Exercise Branch. You will design, integrate, and execute exercise network architectures that align with operational requirements and the theater architecture in support of joint and multinational training environments across the Pacific region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 9 years experience; 4 years may substitute in lieu of degree.
• Active DoD Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI; US Citizenship required.
• In-depth networking experience: WAN, LAN, Wireless, Type 1 Encryption, SDN, Firewalls, VPNs.
• DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+ CE or equivalent) certification required prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Integrate USPACOM J6 owned networks.
• Design, develop, and execute scalable, secure exercise networks aligning with operational requirements and theatre architecture.
• Collaborate with J68, J66, J76 engineers and external stakeholders to deliver executable architectures; resolve issues with J6 CTO.
• Integrate common services, C2/Mission Command systems, and applications into exercise networks; troubleshoot for operational readiness.
• Support lead J6 exercise planners during planning conferences and exercise execution, ensuring DoD standards compliance.
• Brief detailed and high-level network concepts to staff directorates and General/Flag officers.
• Perform occasional travel to planning events and exercise execution as required.
• Additional IT Network duties to support J76 Division and J7 Directorate.
