Job summary

GCA is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Quantico, VA to monitor, configure, and support network resources across multiple enclaves in support of DoD requirements.

The role requires active Top Secret clearance, DoD 8570 IAT Level II certifications, and extensive experience with Cisco routers and Catalyst switches. You will collaborate with tenant agency engineers and vendors to ensure secure, reliable networking infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance required to start.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain Top Secret/SCI access.
• 5+ years of increasingly complex network engineering experience.
• Experience configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Cisco routers and Catalyst switches.
• Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts and technologies.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineers, vendors, and other technical personnel.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including Cisco routers and Catalyst switches.
• Monitor and control the performance and operational status of network resources across multiple enclaves.
• Perform remote diagnosis, configuration management, and technical support of switches, routers, and network infrastructure.
• Support voice, data, and video circuits.
• Identify and resolve network performance issues and outages.
• Provide troubleshooting support for network issues, including after-hours incidents.
• Conduct performance monitoring, load balancing, and troubleshooting to maintain availability.
• Configure and install hardware/software replacements, upgrades, and modifications.
• Coordinate with tenant agency engineers on projects.
• Coordinate with vendors as required.
• Remediate STIGs and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
• Perform preventative maintenance on network devices.
• Maintain documentation of configurations and changes.
• Keep informed on emerging networking technologies.
