Zions Bank is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available networks across data centers, branches, and cloud environments. The role requires in-depth experience with Spine-Leaf, VXLAN/EVPN on Cisco Nexus, advanced routing, and automation.

You will mentor peers, drive modernization, and participate in on-call escalation. In-office work at Zions Technology Center in Midvale, UT is required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a network engineering role.
• Datacenter networks with Spine-Leaf, VXLAN/EVPN on Cisco Nexus.
• Advanced routing: BGP and OSPF.
• Cloud-managed networking incl. SD-WAN, switches, wireless; Cisco Meraki preferred.
• Automation scripting: Python, Ansible, Terraform.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable, secure, highly available network solutions across data centers, branches, and cloud environments.
• Lead or participate in evaluating and implementing new networking technologies and tools.
• Develop and contribute to automation efforts for recurring tasks.
• Mentor team members and provide cross-functional technical support.
• Participate in on-call rotation and escalation for critical incidents.
