Job summary

Teal Drones in Salt Lake City is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, secure, operate, and improve the company’s enterprise network across offices, data centers, and cloud environments.

This hands‑on role owns network architecture, availability, performance, security, and lifecycle management, standardizing Fortinet, Cisco Meraki, Zscaler, and Microsoft Azure networking while guiding incident resolution.

Qualifications

• Must qualify as a U.S. Person under export-control laws.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
• At least 8 years of progressive enterprise network engineering experience; 3+ in senior roles.
• Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, NAT, VPNs, and network segmentation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet, Meraki, 802.1X, and enterprise Wi‑Fi.
• Experience with Azure hybrid connectivity, site-to-site VPNs, and Zscaler or similar.
• Ability to diagnose complex network issues and document solutions; cross‑platform support.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud networking.
• Configure switching, VLANs, STP, LAG, port security, QoS, and uplink resiliency.
• Administer Fortinet firewalls with policies, VPNs, logging, and high availability.
• Support Aruba Meraki switching/wireless networks with standardized SSIDs and 802.1X.
• Implement Zscaler-based secure connectivity and zero-trust networking principles.
• Design resilient site-to-site connectivity between locations and Azure/cloud services.
