Job summary

Information Systems Solutions, Inc. (ISS) is seeking a Senior-level Network Engineer to support NIWC Pacific, delivering engineering and day-to-day operational support for CTB network environments onsite in San Diego.

You will be responsible for integration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance, and security of network devices and services. The role requires a strong background in routing, switching, cloud connectivity, and network management tools, with experience in multi-cloud environments

Qualifications

Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
10+ years of relevant experience; senior-level role with independent and collaborative responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive engineering and day-to-day operational support for the CTB network environment, including hardware/software installation and firmware upgrades.
Monitor and analyze network performance at physical and IP packet levels using enterprise tools (inMON Traffic Sentinel, Zabbix).
Provide on-call support after hours with on-site response within 2 hours of notification.
Manage multi-cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure) including IP space, VLANs, VPCs, and virtual gateways.
Record and coordinate corrective actions with vendors and conduct regression tests.
Prototype, install, and maintain configurations for routing, Firewall, and Boundary routing (HPE Aruba, Palo Alto).
Configure and troubleshoot OSPF, BGP, and IPsec tunnels; maintain NAC and Zero-Trust like dynamic segmentation.
