Job summary

Information Systems Solutions, Inc. in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Senior-level Network Engineer to support NIWC Pacific by delivering engineering and day-to-day operational support for the physical CTB network environment.

The role requires expertise in network architecture, routing and switching, cloud connectivity, and network management tools to monitor and analyze performance at the IP level, with after-hours on-site availability.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of relevant experience; senior-level role with independent and collaborative responsibilities.
• Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools such as inMON Traffic Sentinel and Zabbix.
• Proficiency with NAC solutions, particularly Aruba ClearPass Policy Manager.
• Experience implementing Zero-Trust network architectures.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and day-to-day operational support for the physical CTB network environment.
• Monitor and analyze network performance at physical and IP levels using management tools.
• Respond to after-hours outages; be on-site within 2 hours of notification.
• Establish and maintain multi-cloud connectivity (AWS, Azure) including VPCs and routing tables.
• Establish network test environments; run test cases and report results.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and perform regression tests.
• Prototype and maintain routing/firewall configurations (Aruba, Palo Alto).
