Job summary

Chenega MIOS, based in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to design, implement, and support the organization’s enterprise network infrastructure across LANs/WANs. The role emphasizes stability, security, and DoD guidelines in a fast-changing environment.

You will lead architecture planning, troubleshoot complex issues, manage vendor relations, and mentor junior engineers while supporting cloud integrations (AWS/Azure) and SD-WAN deployments. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in CS/IT or related field OR an Associate’s with 5+ years of experience plus CCNA.
• 5+ years of Enterprise Network Engineering experience.
• DoD IAT Level II (e.g., Security+ CE) or equivalent.
• TS/SCI with the ability to obtain CI Poly.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable, secure enterprise network solutions.
• Manage routing protocols (EIGRP, BGP, OSPF) for optimal traffic flow.
• Build and maintain cloud-integrated networks (AWS, Azure, GCP) and support hybrid deployments.
• Deploy and administer SD-WAN solutions for distributed environments.
• Apply DISA STIGs and DoD security guidelines to protect network infrastructure.
• Use SolarWinds and Wireshark to monitor performance and resolve bottlenecks.
• Create detailed network diagrams, configurations, and incident reports.
• Provide Tier 3 support for complex networking issues.
• Guide junior engineers and support capability development.
• Evaluate new technologies and manage vendor relationships for hardware/software acquisitions.
• Occasional CONUS/OCONUS travel may be required.
