Job summary

Dutech Systems in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support our enterprise network infrastructure across LAN/WAN, data centers, and cloud integrations.

You will manage routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks, implement routing protocols, monitor performance, and collaborate with security, systems, and cloud teams to ensure reliability and security.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network engineering or network infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco networking technologies and enterprise networks.
• Hands-on experience with routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and network security.
• Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of cloud networking concepts in AWS and Azure.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, documentation, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN network infrastructure.
• Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other network devices.
• Implement routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLAN, STP, and TCP/IP.
• Monitor network performance, availability, capacity, and security.
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity, performance, and configuration issues.
• Support network upgrades, migrations, installations, and infrastructure projects.
• Configure and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, ACLs, and network segmentation.
• Work with cloud and hybrid networking environments such as AWS and Azure.
• Use network monitoring and management tools to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Maintain network diagrams, configurations, documentation, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with systems, security, cloud, and application teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Participate in incident response, root-cause analysis, and change-management activities.
• Ensure network infrastructure follows organizational security and availability standards.
