Job summary
The University of La Verne is seeking a Network Engineer to support campus LAN/WAN services, Internet, intranet, and wireless networks. This 100% FTE, regular appointment role collaborates with the lead network engineer to maintain secure and reliable network operations.
Responsibilities include monitoring, configuring, and troubleshooting across multiple vendor platforms (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Extreme) and supporting a large enterprise network environment on
Qualifications
- Understanding of enterprise network connectivity principles and structured troubleshooting methodologies across OSI Layers 1-7.
- General knowledge of enterprise networking platforms and multi-vendor solutions (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, HPE Aruba, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Extreme).
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain campus LAN/WAN networks.
- Assist with network security, performance, and reliability.
- Document network configurations and changes.
- Coordinate with vendors and campus IT teams.
- Plan and test network deployments and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot across OSI layers and identify root causes.
