Job summary

Nomad Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and support complex network environments, including LAN/WAN, video, and VoIP infrastructures. You will also ensure security configurations and VPN solutions while maintaining high availability.

The role requires extensive experience with Cisco and Juniper routing/switching, and a strong background in Windows/Linux, virtualization (VMware), and network management tools. Occasional evenings/weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or the equivalent combination of education, certifications and work experience.
• 12+ years of relevant experience in network/systems analysis, design, installation, and maintenance.
• 12+ years of experience with Cisco routing and switching technologies.
• Strong problem solving, analytic, and communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to work effectively in small team environment with minimal supervision.
• Capable of lifting and moving information technology equipment up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekends as job duties demand.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain security clearance which requires U.S. citizenship.

The Senior Network Engineer designs, builds, deploys, installs, troubleshoots and provides support for network systems and related cloud services. Responsible for local and wide area network configuration, management of customer infrastructures, systems planning, capacity planning, testing and validation. Provides technical and engineering support, and deploys and configures networking hardware and software. Tests and assesses network systems, solves problems, mitigates risks, and develops solutions.

Responsibilities
