American Family Insurance is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Madison, WI to design, implement, and maintain network solutions that support business needs. You will lead network design projects, ensure security, and drive performance improvements across multiple sites.
The role emphasizes Cisco SD-WAN, Meraki/WiFi, Cisco ACI, routers/ACLs, Infoblox DDI, and cloud networking with AWS/Azure/GCP. Expect collaboration with vendors and cross-functional teams in a flex office environment.
The Senior Network Engineer will collaborate with others in the division to provide and maintain applications that meet business needs. Responsible for software design and development for moderate to complex business solutions, providing technical guidance and leadership for specific applications.
Position Compensation Range: $99,000.00 - $167,000.00. Pay Rate Type: Salary. Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates. This position does not have approval for Visa sponsorship now or in the future regardless if applicants are on OPT/STEM status.
Leading the design, planning, and implementation of network solutions to meet organizational needs. This includes evaluating current systems and making recommendations for improvements.
Overseeing the maintenance of network systems and ensuring their optimal performance. This involves diagnosing and resolving network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Implementing and managing network security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access or attacks.
Maintaining detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and performance metrics. Providing regular reports to management on network status and performance.
Coordinating with external vendors and service providers to ensure the procurement and maintenance of network equipment and services.
Staying updated with the latest network technologies and trends to continuously improve network infrastructure and processes.

In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110. Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the office location (or 35-mile radius for Boston).
