Responsibilities
- Support the company’s LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, hubs, switches, AP, WLC
- Configure networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation for fulfilling business objectives and processes
- Perform root cause analysis
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
- Define processes and ensure that the processes are adhered to
- Oversee and ensure the successful completion of installation, configuration and migration
- Upgrade network by coordinating with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
- Ensure maximum uptime according to the SLA
- Understanding of multi‑geo support environment
- Responsible for building / maintaining a test environment
- Improve and maintain customer and employee satisfaction
- Suggest new technologies and design changes
- Monitor and maintain SLA requirements by the team members
- Conduct testing, auditing, and process reviews as required from time to time
- Identify skill gaps and plan for training / knowledge updating
Technical Requirements
- Cisco L3 & L2 Switches
- Experience with C2960, 3560, 3850, C9300, C9200, C9500
- Experience with Cisco Nexus 9K/7K/5K/2K Series switches
- Understand Meraki Wireless thoroughly
- Expert on Routing Protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP
- Expert on Cisco ASA FW (5505, 5515), FPR all models
- Understand SDWAN – Silverpeak
- Expert on Cisco IOS & IOS‑XE Software and NX‑OS Software
- Knowledge of advanced switching concepts would be advantageous
- Wireless LAN technologies – Cisco and Aruba or Extreme
- Excellent hands‑on experience configuring IPSec tunnels (site‑to‑site and remote)
- Network management tools – SolarWinds, HP NNM‑i, Splunk, E‑Health
- Application load balancers (F5 Big‑IP LTM/GTM or Citrix NetScaler)
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and conversation skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent customer‑handling skills
- Ability to handle high‑pressure situations
- High level of acceptance
- Can drive HCL’s value and its methodology
Other Skills / Experience
- Experience with SDN (AWS or Azure) will be an added advantage
Years of Experience
- Above 8+ years of experience
- Relevant: 6+ years of hands‑on experience and proficiency in managing and maintaining a medium/large environment
Certification Requirements
- CCIE, CCNP, Aruba Wireless
