Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join the Global Network Services (GNS) team in the Dallas area.

You will lead large-scale projects from planning through deployment and handover, delivering reliable and scalable network solutions across Apple’s global backbone. The role requires deep hands-on networking expertise, plus project leadership and the ability to develop automation tools that streamline provisioning, configuration, and deployment in complex environments.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Minimum of 3 years in a project engineering or lead role on large‑scale network deployments.
• In‑depth experience with TCP/IP (v4 and v6), BGP, and MPLS technologies.
• Experience supporting large‑scale peering/transit networks with knowledge of complex traffic engineering and Internet routing policies.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with carrier‑grade networking technologies and vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
• Proficiency in MacOS, Linux, or other UNIX variations.

Additionally, the role requires the ability to develop custom applications and automation tools to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes, driving efficiency and reducing deployment times in complex environments.The successful candidate will need to excel in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment. This engineer will need to obsess over the customer experience and drive excellence in their everyday work habits through strong technical leadership and mentorship

Minimum Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Minimum of 3 years in a project engineering or lead role on large‑scale network deployments, such as multi‑site rollouts and data center builds.
• In‑depth experience with TCP/IP (v4 and v6), BGP, and MPLS technologies.
• Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies and protocols.
• Experience supporting large‑scale peering/transit networks with knowledge of complex traffic engineering and Internet routing policies.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with carrier‑grade networking technologies and vendors, including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
• Proficiency in MacOS, Linux, or other UNIX variations.

Preferred Qualifications

• BS or equivalent education preferred
• Advanced industry network certifications preferred
• Fluent spoken and written English is a must.
• Early morning or late night calls may be required
