Job summary

Brown & Brown in Daytona Beach, FL is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to lead design, deployment and optimization of enterprise network solutions. You will translate business needs into scalable network architectures, document designs, and drive secure implementations across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in network engineering, strong knowledge of routing, switching, MPLS, cloud services (Azure) and experience with Cisco and Palo Alto devices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in network architecture/engineering and considered a subject matter expert.
• 2+ years of experience with Azure services.

Responsibilities

• Works with the business to extract IT requirements to determine network solutions
• Analyzes business requirements and translates them into network solutions
• Articulates network solutions to the business in a clear and concise manner
• Produces detailed network design documentation, implementation plans and financial models
• Regularly executes implementation plans with minimal business impact
• Develops network solutions in alignment with security policies
• Produces engineering and installation plans to support new initiatives as well as prepare reports and documentation on the existing network configuration as required.
• Executes the full network planning, road mapping, design, implement, maintenance and optimization processes
• Introduces new network technologies into the business
• Oversees network implementations, ensuring adherence to security policies

How You Will Contribute:

• Expert knowledge of Routing and Switching Technologies
• Expert knowledge of Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
• Expert knowledge and execution of Cisco, Palo Alto and other network security solutions
• Adept in telecommunications and data communications technologies.
• Experience with Cloud based networking including Azure
