Job summary

SAIC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars, with emphasis on network architecture, security, and system integration across diverse platforms.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and an Active Secret clearance, with hands-on skills in routers, switches, firewalls, virtualization, and mission-critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of relevant experience with Security+, Network+, and/or higher‑level certifications.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Experience with a broad range of system types, custom developed hardware/software, commercial off‑the‑shelf hardware/software, and specialty engineering of exotic or limited supply items.
• Experience implementing and sustaining distributed systems, virtual operating system environments, and virtual/augmented reality technologies.
• Experience translating operational requirements into system requirements and technical requirements/performance standards.

• Maintain network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policies and maintaining system backup and recovery capability.

• Perform highly advanced network and systems design, development, and integration from the start of a project life cycle to the end.
• Apply advanced engineering to complex infrastructures, installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining network devices, telecom equipment, radio equipment, operating systems, application software, and system management tools.

SAIC is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command in operational maintenance and sustainment of ground‑based radars that are critical for missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The Network Engineer works with the Program Manager and Chief Engineer to plan, develop, and deliver radar network maintenance and modifications in response to change requests and deficiency reports.

Desired

• Experience sustaining PARCS, or other strategic warning and surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
• Knowledge of Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.
• Experience maintaining national security mission networks.
• Managing large‑scale Agile or SecDevOps teams/projects, including support for cost estimating, baseline and risk management, schedule development, performance monitoring, and reporting.

Salary range: $80,001 – $120,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
