Job summary
Concept Solutions is seeking a Senior Network and Cloud Engineer to support FAA’s C3 office. You will lead network and hybrid-cloud workstreams, design to maintain continuity of communications, and advise leadership on secure, available solutions.
The role collaborates with cloud, cybersecurity, and systems teams in a fast-paced federal environment. The position emphasizes hands-on engineering across FAA data centers, field locations, and AWS, with on-site work, after-hours support, and travel
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field; 15+ years of enterprise network design/operations preferred
- Minimum of fifteen (15) years of progressive, relevant experience in enterprise-scale network design, implementation, and operations
- At least three years of hands-on AWS networking or hybrid connectivity experience in federal or regulated environments
- Strong experience with Cisco routing and switching, TCP/IP, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, high availability, and enterprise firewalls
- Hands-on AWS VPC networking with Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Site-to-Site VPN, or Route 53
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN and metro networks for mission-critical operations
- Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and high-availability designs
- Lead network/hybrid-cloud workstreams and provide tier-three troubleshooting and guidance to leadership
- Design secure connectivity between on-premises and AWS, including VPC planning and routing
- Implement and validate security controls across on-prem and AWS in line with NIST/FISMA/FedRAMP requirements
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to on-call rotation and incident response
