Job summary

Netskope is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to own day‑to‑day operations of a global, cloud‑native network platform. You’ll manage multi‑vendor routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs, ensuring high uptime and optimal performance for enterprise customers.

You will work within the Platform Reliability Engineering team to maintain hundreds of PoPs, optimize BGP routing, and sustain low latency while driving incident resolution and capacity planning across regions.

Qualifications

• BSCS or equivalent required.
• Experience in production internet-facing data centers or SaaS environments.
• Expert-level BGP and multi-vendor routing knowledge.
• Strong firewall operations experience in production environments.
• Experience with GTM/GSLB and load balancers.
• Solid Linux experience and scripting ability.
• Experience in public-facing SaaS or cloud infrastructure preferred.
• Proficient in network monitoring and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot routers and switches across a multi‑vendor environment (Cisco/Juniper/Arista).
• Manage BGP peering sessions with transit providers and peers; optimize routing and cost.
• Install and configure new ISP transit links and monitor capacity globally.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, NAT policies, and security zones.
• Configure and manage load balancers including GTM/GSLB for multi-region traffic.
• Monitor network health via dashboards; identify degradation and preempt issues.
• Upgrade software on devices with minimal disruption and rollback plans.
• Configure IPsec/IKE VPN tunnels across global PoPs; perform traffic captures.
• Troubleshoot from network to application layer; perform root-cause analysis.
• Build monitoring tools and dashboards to improve visibility across regions.
• Apply BGP policies to minimize latency and balance load across providers.
