Job summary

NorthMark Compute & Cloud (NMC²) seeks a Senior Engineer to design and implement automated, scalable networking across its global compute and cloud footprint. You will own meaningful projects from design through production, writing Python and leveraging Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2 to deliver self-service network capabilities.

You will collaborate with Network Engineering, Platform, and Security teams to ensure a reliable, secure, and observable networking stack, with on-call responsibilities

Qualifications

• Proven experience spanning software development and network engineering, with automation ownership.
• Strong Python programming and software engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with API design, service integration, or platform engineering.
• Familiarity with IaC tools and cloud-native tech.
• Knowledge of routing and data center networking concepts.
• Ability to drive projects end-to-end in cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for network provisioning across global infrastructure.
• Contribute to architectural design discussions for maintainable automation.
• Develop Python software and use Ansible, Terraform, and Jinja2 for IaC in networking.
• Integrate network automation into CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployments.
• Build APIs and tooling to expose networking as self-service interfaces.
• Implement observability and telemetry for network performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, Security, and Platform teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
