Job summary

COCC is seeking an experienced Network Automation Engineer to transform enterprise networking with automation, IaC, and GitOps workflows. You will apply Python, Ansible, and Terraform to design, deploy, and maintain automated network provisioning, configuration, validation, and compliance across data centers, campuses, and SD-WAN.

The role emphasizes building scalable automation, documenting procedures, and mentoring teams while collaborating with security and reliability teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 8+ years in network engineering, infrastructure engineering, or network automation.
• Strong foundation in enterprise networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, routing, switching, and security.
• Proven automation experience with Python, Ansible, Terraform, and related tooling.
• Experience with APIs, programmatic infrastructure management, and Git-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automation and deployment solutions for network provisioning, configuration management, validation, and compliance.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures to improve consistency and reduce manual effort.
• Design and support traditional enterprise networking across data center, campus, cloud, and SD-WAN with strict security and availability requirements.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, SD-WAN, and SDN issues and automate detection and remediation.
• Evaluate emerging technologies to improve network operations through automation.
• Mentor and share expertise on Infrastructure as Code and modern network engineering practices.
