Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• DoD 8570 certification at IAT level II (Security+ CE) required.
• 3+ years of network administration/engineering experience in a Cisco environment.
• Experience with Cisco switches and routers.
• Solid foundation in routing, switching, and security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Layer 2/Layer 3 network infrastructure.
• Configure and support Cisco Catalyst switches and NX-OS-based platforms.
• Manage VLANs, trunking, ACLs, firewall rules, and traffic segmentation.
• Maintain network topology, routing logic, and traffic flow design.
• Support data center–oriented switching platforms for modernization initiatives.
• Deploy and support 802.1X authentication using Cisco ISE and LDAP integration.
• Implement machine authentication with user fallback and dynamic VLAN assignments.
• Manage TACACS+ for device administration.
• Support networking for VMware ESXi/vCenter environments, including vSwitch configurations.
• Provision and maintain VM networking and backup connections.
• Troubleshoot multi-tier service flows and connectivity issues.
• Implement and maintain STIG-compliant configurations.
• Ensure secure management access and RMF/FIPS compliance.
• Integrate network devices with SIEM (Elastic) or Zabbix for monitoring.
• Coordinate with security teams and application owners; participate in change control and CAB processes.
• Plan and execute network upgrades with validation and rollback.
