Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology is seeking a Network Architect to lead the design and implementation of large-scale, global network operations for a high-visibility government contract. The role covers modernization, security integration, service management, and cross-regional engagement.

You will guide architecture, governance and engineering teams toward secure, scalable solutions leveraging SDN, SD-WAN, cloud networking and automation technologies. A Top Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline
• Minimum of 10 years’ technical experience
• Aligned Cisco Certified Internetwork (CCIE) certifications
• Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Demonstrated experience leading large/complex network modernization efforts
• Experience with load balancing, routing, switching, firewalls, QoS and micro-segmentation
• Deep understanding of Zero Trust, NIST frameworks and government standards
• Experience with SDN/SD-WAN, cloud networking and virtualization

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with DT and Program Director on outputs and adoption framework
• Lead steady-state support for current network operations and modernization
• Define and evolve enterprise architecture, strategy and roadmap for network capabilities
• Design secure, scalable, automated, AI-augmented provisioning and monitoring solutions
• Establish governance, lifecycle controls and standards for hardware and processes
• Develop architecture artifacts, guidance, metrics and telemetry reporting
• Serve as trusted advisor and mentor across the program
