Job summary

Candescent is seeking a Lead Network Security Specialist to define and lead the security strategy across cloud, data center, and branch environments. You will guide architecture, engineering, and operations, overseeing firewall lifecycle, SD-WAN, and Zero Trust implementations while collaborating with DevOps for secure CI/CD and IaC integration.

The role requires a strong leadership presence, deep technical expertise, and a drive for continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in network security engineering with leadership exposure.
• Hands-on with enterprise firewall platforms and secure network architectures.
• Experience securing hybrid cloud/data center/branch environments and ZTNA controls.
• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS security, and encrypted traffic inspection.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the network security strategy aligned with business objectives and Zero Trust principles.
• Lead architecture, engineering, and operations for network security across cloud, data center, and branch environments.
• Oversee firewall policy lifecycle and secure connectivity initiatives including SD-WAN and encrypted traffic inspection.
• Partner with DevOps to integrate security into CI/CD and IaC pipelines; ensure recovery procedures are documented.
