Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Senior Network Engineer in Arlington, VA to lead design, implementation, and security of the enterprise network. The role includes management of MDM integrations, VPNs, and data center networking with Cisco Nexus and cloud connectivity.

Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in IT, 4+ years with Cisco gear, and an active Secret clearance. CCNP certification is expected, with strong emphasis on security, compliance (STIG/NIST), and disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field.
• Minimum of 4+ years hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.
• Active Secret clearance or above (USMS suitability requires U.S. Citizenship).
• CCNP Enterprise (or equivalent) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead network design, planning, budgeting, and migration strategies.
• Install, configure, and maintain Cisco network devices and VoIP/Data Center networks.
• Support Cisco CUCM, Unity Connection, SIP, CUBE, and QoS for VoIP.
• Design data center networking with Cisco Nexus, VXLAN, and cloud integration (AWS GovCloud/Azure Gov).
• Architect secure network zones and access controls for MDM and government networks.
• Configure 802.1X/NAC and enforce security per STIG, NIST RMF, and Zero Trust.
