Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced LAN Engineering professional to deliver network architecture and hands-on engineering across campus, engineering, warehouse and manufacturing facilities worldwide.

Responsibilities include testing, certifying, and releasing Cisco hardware and software, troubleshooting complex outages, and driving SDN/ SDA initiatives while coordinating with global teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Cisco Certifications – CCNP/CCIE Preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco LAN infrastructure (Catalyst 9k, ISE).
• Understanding of networking/IP protocols (OSPF, BGP), SD-Access, and Cisco Industrial switches.
• Knowledge of Cisco routing & switching, IOS-XE Software.
• Experience with SRE principles.
• Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible).

Responsibilities

• Developing/Publishing Network Architecture and Technical Documentation (HLD/LLD/NRFU).
• Participate in Test, Certify and Release of Cisco Switches, software, and firmware for global deployment.
• Provide Level 3/4 support and coordinate new installation of routers and switches.
• Work with SDA for Campus/Manufacturing environments.
• Develop tests for network redundancy, resilience, and failover to ensure uptime.
• Provide technical consultation and knowledge sharing to Network Planning & Operations teams.
• Create tools to automate deployment, administration and monitoring of network systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system operability.
