Job summary

Ford Motor Company in the United States seeks an experienced LAN Engineer to join the Network Services team. You will design and publish high/low level network architectures for campus, engineering, warehouse and manufacturing facilities globally.

You will certify Cisco gear, provide L3/4 support, implement SDA solutions, and build automation tools while collaborating with multiple teams and traveling to Dearborn as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent work experience is required.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco LAN infrastructure and related systems.
• Familiarity with SD-Access, OSPF/BGP and network automation basics.

Responsibilities

• Developing/Publishing Network Architecture and Technical Documentation (HLD/LLD/NRFU).
• Test, Certify and Release of Cisco Switches, software, and firmware for global deployment.
• Provide Level 3/4 support and coordinate new installation of routers and switches.
• Develop SDN solutions for campus/manufacturing environments.
• Develop tools to automate deployment, administration and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to improve system operability.
