Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced senior LAN Engineer within Enterprise Technology. You will lead network architecture, design, validation, and deployment for campus, engineering, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities globally.

The role requires deep Cisco LAN expertise, SD-Access/SDN familiarity, and a proactive approach to reliability, automation, and cross-functional collaboration. Hybrid work model with possible travel to Dearborn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent work experience is required
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Cisco Certifications – CCNP/CCIE Preferred
• In-depth knowledge of Cisco LAN infrastructure, Catalyst 9k switches, ISE

Responsibilities

• Develop and publish Network Architecture and Technical Documentation (HLD/LLD/NRFU)
• Test, certify and release Cisco switches, software, and firmware for global deployment
• Provide Level 3/4 support and coordinate new router/switch installations
• Implement SD-Access SDN for Campus/Manufacturing environments
• Develop tests for network redundancy, resilience, and failover
• Provide technical consultation and knowledge sharing to planning and operations teams
• Work with teams to develop tools for deployment, administration and monitoring
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system operability
