Biamp, Beaverton, OR, seeks a Senior Network Engineer to lead enterprise network architecture and operations across multiple sites. You’ll own the network function, drive modernization, and mentor a network engineer while ensuring production and corporate networks stay reliable.

You’ll guide firewall, switching, and WAN design, participate in cross-functional discussions, and shape security posture. Demonstrated leadership and deep L2/L3 networking expertise are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience
• Strong experience with FortiGate/FortiOS firewall platforms (or equivalent next-gen firewall experience)
• Deep understanding of L2/L3 networking: routing protocols, switching, and segmentation
• Experience designing and operating multi-site WAN and LAN environments
• Proficiency with network monitoring and observability tooling
• Strong documentation habits
• Comfort operating as the senior technical voice on network topics, including during incidents
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (equivalent experience will be considered)

Responsibilities

• Lead network architecture and design decisions for firewalls, switching, routing, segmentation, and WAN across a multi-site enterprise
• Drive network modernization projects including core switching upgrades and firewall deployments
• Own network operations: troubleshooting, capacity planning, change management, and incident response
• Maintain FortiGate firewall platforms: policy management, VPN, SD-WAN, and security posture
• Maintain enterprise switching infrastructure supporting 10G/25G connectivity
• Define and track network performance metrics; implement improvements for reliability and security
• Operate and improve network monitoring/alerting with Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana
• Maintain network docs and IP address management in NetBox
• Mentor a network engineer and distribute work effectively
• Collaborate cross-functionally with systems, platform, and software ops teams
• Support manufacturing and corporate networks with proper segmentation and reliability
• Participate in incident response, postmortems, and change management processes
