Job summary

Biamp is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to act as the technical lead for network operations and architecture across its enterprise infrastructure. This hands-on leadership role owns the network function, drives architecture and modernization initiatives, and mentors a network engineer across multiple sites.

You'll lead planning and implementation for network projects, partner with IT Architects, and collaborate cross-functionally with systems and software operations teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
• Deep FortiGate/FortiOS firewall platform experience (or equivalent).
• Strong L2/L3 networking knowledge: routing, switching, segmentation.
• Experience designing and operating multi-site WAN and LAN environments.
• Proficiency with network monitoring and observability tooling.
• Excellent documentation habits and voice on technical topics.
• Ability to mentor and develop less experienced engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS or related field (equivalent experience considered).

Responsibilities

• Lead network architecture and design decisions for firewalls, switching, routing, segmentation, and WAN connectivity across a multi-site enterprise.
• Drive modernization projects including core upgrades and firewall deployments.
• Own network operations: troubleshooting, capacity planning, change management, incident response.
• Manage FortiGate platforms: policy, VPN, SD-WAN, security posture.
• Maintain enterprise switching for high-speed connectivity (10G/25G).
• Define and track network performance metrics; implement reliability and security improvements.
• Operate and improve network monitoring using Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana.
• Maintain IP address management in NetBox and keep documentation up-to-date.
• Mentor a network engineer and distribute work across the function.
