Job summary

NoaNet is seeking a Senior Network Design Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and lifecycle support of carrier-grade IP/MPLS, Ethernet, PON, LTE/wireless, and optical networks. You will serve as a senior technical authority for architecture, customer engagements, and complex operational issues.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and vendor partners from requirements through deployment and handoff, mentoring others and shaping network standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced IP/MPLS network design and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IP routing (BGP/IGP) and MPLS services.
• Ethernet switching and Carrier Ethernet design fundamentals.
• Experience with high-capacity WAN/backbone networks (10G/40G/100G).
• DWDM/optical transport concepts including ROADMs and coherent optics.
• QoS design for WAN and service-provider networks.
• Security design: AAA, firewalls, access control lists, and config mgmt.
• Ability to manage multiple complex tasks concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end network solutions using IP/MPLS, Ethernet, and optical transport.
• Lead capacity planning, requirements definition, and vendor evaluation.
• Guide complex implementations, migrations, and turn-ups from concept to handoff.
• Provide senior design reviews and standardize network designs.
• Mentor engineers and support project management with technical deps.
