Job summary

Shield AI is seeking an experienced Network Architect to define and evolve a secure, scalable network architecture across offices, labs, data centers, and cloud environments. You’ll stay hands-on while partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, and Cybersecurity teams to drive complex, high-risk deployments.

You will lead architecture reviews, design decisions, and implementation plans, advancing automation and observability across global locations and hybrid environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise network engineering and architecture experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead architecture from requirements to operational handoff.
• Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, QoS, IPsec, DNS, DHCP, NAT, and traffic engineering.
• Experience designing networks across offices, labs, data centers, and cloud environments.
• Strong experience with firewall architectures, zero-trust, and network segmentation.
• Experience with AWS and Azure networking, including cloud connectivity and security controls.
• Ability to create clear diagrams, standards, and implementation guidance.
• Certifications such as CCNP/CCIE or equivalent are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain enterprise network architecture and strategy.
• Architect scalable LAN, WAN, data-center, VPN, and cloud integrations.
• Develop designs for new offices, labs, manufacturing facilities, and acquisitions.
• Lead high-level and low-level designs with various teams.
• Advance network automation and IaC practices.
• Produce architecture diagrams and documentation.
