General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a seasoned network engineer to oversee the global backbone and data center fabric, ensuring maximum service availability.

You will drive ITSM integration via ServiceNow, maintain CMDB accuracy, and enforce security and configuration standards across enterprise WAN/LAN environments. The role requires hands-on management of routers, switches, and encryption devices, with strong emphasis on collaboration, mentorship, and disaster recovery

Competenze

• Active Secret security clearance (or higher) required.
• 5+ years of enterprise WAN/LAN experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; professional certifications in networking.
• CCNA and Security+ CE or equivalent certifications required.

Mansioni

• Oversee lifecycle of global backbone and data center fabric for maximum availability.
• Lead ITSM integration via ServiceNow; document incidents and changes.
• Maintain CMDB with rack elevations, port maps, IP assignments for audits.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, and encryption devices per standards.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity to ensure mission-critical data flow.
• Enforce configuration standards including STIG compliance and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate to transform designs into operational network infrastructure.
• Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers.
• Develop disaster recovery and rapid restoration procedures.
• Monitor network performance and resolve bottlenecks.
• Manage hardware logistics, RMAs, vendor coordination, spare parts.
• Serve as on-call escalation point for infra issues.
