Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) seeks a seasoned network infrastructure professional for the US BICES-X program. You will oversee global WAN/LAN networks, data center fabric, and device configurations to ensure high availability in a government setting.

You will drive ITSM integration via ServiceNow, maintain CMDB data, and implement disaster recovery plans while mentoring junior staff and collaborating across teams.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance (or higher) and ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI.
• 5+ years of experience implementing, maintaining, and securing complex enterprise WAN/LAN environments.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Current certifications in networking and security (e.g., CCNA, Security+ CE).
• Expert knowledge of routing/switching (OSPF, BGP, STP) and physical layer standards (fiber/copper/transceivers).
• Proficiency administering and securing enterprise network architectures for voice, video, and data services.
• Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow ITSM modules, including change, incident, and configuration management.
• Commitment to government security and experience in regulated environments.
• Exceptional communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of a global backbone and data center fabric for maximum service availability.
• Lead integration of ITSM processes via ServiceNow for incidents and changes.
• Maintain CMDB with rack elevations, port maps, IP assignments for audits.
• Configure and maintain routers, switches, encryption devices, per global standards.
• Troubleshoot complex connectivity issues to ensure enterprise data flow.
• Enforce configuration standards and STIG compliance to mitigate risk.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate designs into network infra.
• Mentor mid-level and junior staff on best practices and discipline.
• Develop disaster recovery and rapid restoration procedures for resilience.
• Monitor network performance to identify bottlenecks and optimize capacity.
• Manage hardware logistics, RMAs, vendor coordination, spare parts.
