Job summary

The Phoenix Group is seeking a senior Enterprise Network Engineer to lead design, deployment, and support of scalable network systems across multiple sites and cloud platforms. You will ensure performance, security, and resilience in a remote, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities include managing SD-WAN, VPNs, and firewalls, while mentoring junior engineers and aligning solutions with security standards. Strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise network engineering for multi-site orgs and cloud integrations.
• Proven expertise in routing protocols (OSPF/BGP) and switching/segmentation.
• Experience with Palo Alto NGFW and Panorama for centralized control.
• Knowledge of Cisco ACI, Nexus 9300/9000 series and fabric design.
• Strong VPN experience (DMVPN, IPSec, remote access).
• SD-WAN deployment/optimization (Silver Peak/Aruba EdgeConnect).
• Familiarity with network automation tools (Ansible, Python/Netmiko, Terraform).
• Experience with hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure).
• Strong documentation and ability to communicate to executives.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-grade network solutions across sites and clouds.
• Lead network projects from requirements to deployment.
• Develop and test business continuity and disaster recovery for network components.
• Perform proactive maintenance, firmware patches, and health monitoring.
• Manage vulnerability assessments and security advisories.
• Maintain network diagrams, configuration baselines, and topology maps.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infra, and apps teams on standards.
• Evaluate new networking technologies and recommend improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and share knowledge across the team.
• Explain technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
