Job summary

Mondrian Alpha, a leading quantitative hedge fund in New York City, is seeking a Network Engineer to join its Systems Infrastructure Team. You will own network engineering initiatives, design, implement, and operate routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure, and drive cloud networking in AWS.

The role requires 10+ years in network or security roles, expertise in traditional networks, scripting (Python/PowerShell), and experience with AWS and Palo Alto environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in network and/or network security roles.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, and firewall systems.
• Proficiency in scripting and/or programming (Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of network engineering initiatives across the firm.
• Lead design, implementation, and operations of routing, switching, and firewall infrastructure.
• Develop automation and scripting solutions to improve efficiency.
• Support cloud networking in AWS and drive network optimization across global operations.
