Job summary

Rackspace Technology seeks a seasoned Network Engineer IV to design, architect, and support enterprise and multi-datacenter networks, spanning routing, switching, campus fabric, and security. You will lead complex troubleshooting and mentor teammates while driving automation initiatives across the fabric stack.

The role requires hybrid work in the Seattle/Tacoma area with on-site support as needed, and sponsorship is not available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of enterprise network design, configuration, and upgrades.
• Experience with BGP/OSPF design and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Designs and architects scalable network solutions across routing, switching, fabric, and security domains.
• Leads complex troubleshooting, including routing protocol issues, fabric connectivity, and firewall policy conflicts.
• Architects and maintains Cisco ACI and SDA fabric environments, including tenant design and contracts.
• Configures and troubleshoots BGP and OSPF in multi-site architectures.
• Develops automation via Python/Ansible to enforce standard configurations.
• Mentors less experienced engineers and participates in on-call rotation.
• Creates and maintains network diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation.
