Job summary

Pivotal Solutions in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an IT Network Administrator to manage LAN/WAN, install, troubleshoot, and optimize network systems in a dynamic environment.

You'll work with monitoring tools (Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, Cisco Meraki), perform audits, ensure data integrity, and provide 2nd-3rd level support while helping document infrastructure and contribute to disaster recovery planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or College Diploma in IT or related discipline.
• 2-5 years of progressive experience in network management, including routing protocols, layer 2 switching, STP, network design, troubleshooting, and BGP routing.
• Experience reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation.
• Background in troubleshooting networking products.

Responsibilities

• Install, implement, troubleshoot, and optimize LAN/WAN in evolving network topology.
• Deploy and troubleshoot network configurations.
• Monitor and report on network usage.
• Operate daily network and telecom infrastructure.
• Work with monitoring tools like Solarwinds, Cisco Prime, Cisco Merak.
• Design and perform network and security audits.
• Backup networks data and ensure data integrity.
• Provide 2nd & 3rd level support on infrastructure issues.
• Create and update documentation of networking infrastructure.
• Assist in disaster recovery planning for OSes, databases, networks, servers, and apps.
• Recommend, schedule, and perform software upgrades/purchases.
• Research emerging products, services, protocols, and standards.
