Job summary

SOSi is seeking a Senior Network Administrator to join our team at Joint Base Pearl Harbor Hickam in Honolulu, HI. You will ensure secure, compliant, and resilient network operations supporting mission-critical communications across the Pacific theater.

Key duties include configuring Cisco gear, managing VDI environments, and coordinating with Cross-Domain Solutions to safeguard data. A Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance and DoD-aligned certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Active in-scope TOP SECRET clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Networking, or similar and 4 years of related experience or 8+ years of network administration experience.
• DoD 8570 IAT-II compliant (CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP)
• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher.
• Expertise in Cisco routers, switches, ASA, Palo Alto firewalls, CSfC, Taclane encryption methods, VDI environments, Cross-Domain Solutions, CUCM, and VTCs.
• Knowledge of network security best practices and DoD STIGs.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to support 24/7 operations and work in distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and ensure network availability per DoD standards.
• Configure Cisco gear and security devices to support data flow.
• Troubleshoot eBGP routing in Palo Alto environments.
• Oversee CSfC and Taclane encryption implementations.
• Maintain VDI environments and secure user access.
• Manage CUCM and VTCs for reliable communications.
• Serve as incident escalation point for network issues.
• Collaborate with Cross-Domain Solutions for secure info sharing.
• Coordinate with PM team on installation and timelines.
• Engage with customers to define network needs and propose solutions.
