Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform high-voltage testing and commissioning across regional projects. You will use advanced test equipment, analyze results, and produce detailed reports for critical infrastructure clients.

Qualifications

• NETA III/IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Strong knowledge of NETA MTS/ATS standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and contact resistance testing on transformers, switchgear, cables, and breakers.
• Interpret test results and write comprehensive engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical system failures under time-critical conditions.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and serve as technical lead on projects.
• Maintain compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards, NFPA 70E, OSHA.
