Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV. You will conduct power system studies and test protective relays while mentoring junior technicians.

The role requires 7+ years of hands-on HV testing, NETA certification, and travel up to 75%. A valid driver's license and strong understanding of standards are essential.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage environments.
• Proficiency with test equipment (Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF).
• Ability to read one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV.
• Conduct short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analyses.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Lead testing activities and mentor Level I/II technicians in the field.
