Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV. Travel up to 75% regionally and nationally, with comprehensive hands-on training and strict safety adherence.

You will analyze test results, generate detailed engineering reports, and mentor technicians while leading multi-disciplinary project teams in compliance with NETA MTS/ATS standards.

Qualifications

• NETA Level III or IV certification current and in good standing.
• 7+ years hands-on electrical testing in medium/high voltage.
• Proficiency with NETA MTS/ATS standards.
• Experience with listed test equipment (Doble, Megger, Omicron, Dranetz, SKF).
• Ability to read and interpret one-line, three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV.
• Conduct power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and power quality analysis.
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor-based).
• Interpret results and author engineering reports with findings and recommendations.
• Mentor Level I/II technicians and lead technical efforts on projects.
