Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Field Engineer - Electrical Testing (NETA Level III/IV) to perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500 kV. This role requires regional/national travel (up to 75%), strong certs, and deep knowledge of protective relays and test equipment.

Base compensation is up to $110/hour with generous OT, signing bonus up to $15,000, and a comprehensive benefits package. Relocation and company vehicle are included as part of the package.

Qualifications

• NETA III/IV certification is required and current in good standing.
• 7+ years of hands-on electrical testing experience in medium/high voltage environments.
• Ability to read/interpret one-line and three-line diagrams, schematics, and P&IDs.
• Experience with protective relay schemes and coordination.
• Willingness to travel regionally up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Perform acceptance, commissioning, and maintenance testing on electrical power systems up to 500kV.
• Conduct power system studies (short circuit, coordination, arc flash, power quality).
• Test and calibrate protective relays (electromechanical, solid-state, microprocessor).
• Perform insulation resistance, power factor, and test transformer components.
