Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a Senior Software Systems Engineer to join a 100% remote team. This role requires strong .NET/.NET Core, C#, and full-stack capabilities with CI/CD and modern tooling.

You will design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade software, work within Agile teams, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust, scalable applications in a Veterans Affairs context.

Qualifications

• Expertise in .NET framework and .NET Core with strong C# knowledge.
• Experience with MVC architecture, RESTful APIs, and SQL Server.
• Cloud familiarity (Azure & AWS) and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, requirements definition, test planning and execution.
• Develop software systems, including design, test, installation, and deployment.
• Work as an active member of an Agile software development team.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements.
