Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Software Systems Engineer (.Net Developer) for a 100% remote, full-time role supporting Veterans Affairs (VA) software initiatives. You will design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise .NET applications using C#, MVC, and RESTful APIs within an Agile team.

You should bring 5+ years of .NET experience, strong knowledge of SQL Server and EF, and experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of software development using .NET technologies.
• Strong background in .NET Framework/.NET Core and C#.
• Experience with MVC, RESTful APIs, and SQL Server/EF.
• Proficient in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and DevOps practices.
• Familiar with CI/CD pipelines and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical planning, requirements definition, test planning and execution, and software integration.
• Develop and support .NET back-end services, including design, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in daily stand-ups as part of an Agile software team.
• Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in code quality.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine project requirements.
