Job summary

Recruit22 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Downers Grove, IL (Hybrid) to design, develop, and support enterprise-grade software powering critical business operations and customer-facing platforms.

You will work with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable applications using C#, .NET Core, React, and cloud tech across Azure/AWS, with a strong focus on CI/CD and modern architecture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience developing applications with C#, .NET Core / ASP.NET Core, React.js, JavaScript / TypeScript, SQL Server, REST APIs.
• Experience building scalable distributed systems and microservices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Proficiency with source control, Git workflows, and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with Docker and containerized environments.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and modern development methodologies.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise applications using C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET Core, React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and distributed services.
• Build scalable microservices and event-driven applications.
• Contribute to full software development lifecycle activities including design, coding, testing, deployment, and support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and performance issues.
• Develop and deploy solutions in Azure and/or AWS cloud environments.
• Participate in cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Support containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Contribute to Infrastructure-as-Code and cloud automation efforts.
• Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL database solutions.
• Develop and maintain integrations between internal and external systems.
• Ensure data integrity, scalability, performance, and security.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and optimization.
• Conduct peer code reviews and maintain coding standards.
• Implement automated testing strategies including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Support application monitoring, logging, telemetry, and observability initiatives.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to define technical solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and technology recommendations.
• Support software releases and production deployments.
