MetLife is seeking a Senior Software/Platform Engineer to join the Global Treasury IT team in a hybrid Cary, NC role. You will drive design, development and modernization of cloud-native treasury platforms on Azure with AKS, Istio, and microservices, while ensuring resilience, security, and scalable performance for enterprise financial operations.

You'll collaborate in an Agile environment, own complex techn stack, and apply modern AI/observability concepts to improve delivery and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise software development with .NET, C#, and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on Azure/AWS/GCP experience with AKS and cloud services.
• Containerization and orchestration with Docker and AKS.
• Experience with Istio or similar service meshes and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise applications in .NET/C#.
• Own Azure infrastructure and microservices deployed on AKS; implement cloud-native patterns.
• Lead troubleshooting and performance tuning across distributed systems.
• Implement Istio service mesh for secure, observable service-to-service communication.
