Red Hawk Technologies is seeking a Senior .NET Software Engineer for a contract role. You will build and modernize .NET web applications and act as a technical escalation point for complex MSSQL issues, collaborating with our fractional team, project managers, and clients.

You should thrive in high-stakes environments, applying a "first-time right" mindset to production changes, and moving between application development and deep database troubleshooting as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 7+ years software development, with 5+ years on the .NET Framework/.NET Core and C#.
• 5+ years MS SQL Server development, including T-SQL, stored procedures, and data integrity.
• PowerShell proficiency for data workflows and automation.
• Proficiency with ASP.NET Core, MVC, and RESTful APIs.
• Git/Bitbucket and Jira experience for version control and issue tracking.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and deployment of robust web apps using .NET.
• Modernize legacy .NET apps to current .NET Core/8 standards.
• Implement data movement logic, OCR, and REST API management.
• Write clean, well-documented C# code and translate requirements for stakeholders.
• Diagnose MSSQL performance issues, deadlocks, and data quality problems.
• Author and test production data scripts and complex stored procedures.
• Develop SSRS reports and data visualizations; support ETL modernization.
