Job summary

Seneca Resources in New York seeks a senior software engineer to design, build, and maintain enterprise applications using C# and .NET Core. You will develop secure RESTful APIs and microservices with ASP.NET Core, and work on HL7 data processing in healthcare contexts.

You will optimize SQL Server databases, implement CI/CD with Azure DevOps, and collaborate with stakeholders across the lifecycle to ensure reliable, scalable cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level experience with C#, .NET, and .NET Core.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience working with HL7 v2 messaging standards.
• Strong experience developing ASP.NET Core Web APIs and microservices.
• Experience designing scalable, cloud-based applications using Microsoft Azure.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL Server, database design, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or similar platforms.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise applications and integration services using C# and .NET Core.
• Build and support secure, high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices using ASP.NET Core.
• Develop solutions for processing, validating, and transforming healthcare data using HL7 messaging standards.
• Design and optimize SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and complex queries.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and deploy applications using Azure DevOps and Azure cloud services.
• Troubleshoot application, integration, and data exchange issues while ensuring system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, QA teams, and technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Follow modern software architecture best practices, including microservices and event-driven design.
