Job summary

ProsperityEHR is hiring a backend engineer to build and maintain ASP.NET Core APIs serving our behavioral health platform. You will design and operate Azure Service Bus messaging, data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, and multi-tenant PostgreSQL access, while integrating with FHIR/REST healthcare systems.

The role emphasizes HIPAA compliance, robust testing, and production observability. Candidates should have 3+ years in .NET and healthcare, with US work authorization and ability to travel up

Qualifications

• 3+ years building backend services in C# / .NET (we run .NET 8, newer services on .NET 10)
• 3+ years in healthcare
• Strong ASP.NET Core Web API experience — REST design, authentication, middleware, dependency injection
• Hands-on Azure Service Bus: queues and topics, subscriptions, message handlers, retries, dead-letter handling
• Azure Data Factory: building and troubleshooting pipelines, copy activities, and data movement between systems
• Solid SQL and relational database skills
• Comfortable with Azure day to day — Key Vault, App Configuration, Blob Storage, managed identity, Application Insights
• Git, CI/CD, and shipping through automated pipelines
• Excellent communication skills; active listening and feedback
• Ability to travel up to 5% of working time
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Must reside in WI, MN, CO

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ASP.NET Core APIs that serve our web application and internal services
• Design and operate Azure Service Bus messaging — queues, topics, subscriptions, message handlers
• Build and support Azure Data Factory pipelines that migrate tenant data in and out of the platform
• Write data access against multi-tenant PostgreSQL with tenant isolation
• Integrate with third-party healthcare systems over FHIR and REST
• Handle protected health information (PHI) in a HIPAA-compliant manner
• Write tests — unit, integration, and API-level
• Support services in production: observability and alerts
• Other duties as assigned
