Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking an experienced .NET Developer to lead the design and development of a mission-critical Medicaid/Medicare claims system. You will build secure, scalable applications with C#, .NET 8+/ASP.NET Core, and modern cloud practices in a fully remote setting.

You will architect RESTful services, optimize SQL Server databases, and drive DevOps with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Git. Strong leadership and stakeholder collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional software development experience.
• At least 10+ years with C# and .NET/.NET Core.
• Extensive experience with .NET 8+/ASP.NET Core and ASP.NET Core MVC.
• Strong RESTful API design and integration experience.
• Advanced SQL Server design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with Entity Framework.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS for web apps.
• Experience using Git for source control.
• Practical experience with Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD platforms.
• Proven leadership, mentoring, and coding standards enforcement.
• Excellent communication with technical teams and executives.
• Bachelors degree in CS/SE/IS or related.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of core applications, focusing on Medicaid/Medicare claims system.
• Develop high-quality, maintainable code in C#, .NET 8+/ASP.NET Core, JS/TS, HTML, CSS.
• Design, optimize SQL Server databases and performance.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Ensure secure application design and data protection practices.
• Leverage Azure cloud services and Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines.
• Use Git for source control and code reviews; containerize with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provide senior technical leadership; mentor developers and enforce standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to align tech with business goals.
• Drive performance, reliability, and scalability improvements; roadmap contributions.
• Implement automated testing and DevOps practices; improve releases.
• Accurately estimate effort and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
