Job summary

Tyler Technologies is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Public Safety Interface Development team in Wisconsin. You will design, develop, deploy, and maintain interfaces between New World Public Safety products, 3rd party vendors, and internal integrations.

The role emphasizes .NET platform technologies, collaborative Agile teams, and strong problem solving and communication skills. You will work with developers, analysts, and architects to deliver robust interfaces and advance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of experience designing and programming commercial-grade software applications.
• 5 years of object-oriented design experience.
• 5 years of C# or other OO programming language experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with internal teams and customer representatives.
• Proficiency with .NET framework, multi-threaded and asynchronous programming models.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (Angular is a plus).
• Familiarity with REST, SOAP, (S)FTP, and other web protocols.
• Knowledge of SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience using Visual Studio, JIRA, TFS, Git.
• Awareness of AI-assisted development tools and responsible AI practices.
• Familiarity with Agile, TDD, BDD, etc.
• Familiarity with AWS services is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer requirements with Project Managers during development.
• Deploy software and work with customers and 3rd parties on testing and feedback.
• Support and maintain existing interface implementations.
• Follow development practices of the public safety interface development team.
• Collaborate with developers, analysts, and architects to solve complex technical problems.
• Grow development and personal skills while contributing ideas to the team and leadership.
